Bottom Right Triangle

Price keeps bouncing off the lows, each bounce higher than the last, while a flat ceiling holds it back. When it finally closes above that ceiling, a new uptrend can begin.

BUY SIGNAL
Close above the horizontal line after at least 2 bounces
SELL STOP
Just below the most recent bounce low before the break
BOUNCES
2 minimum, 3 ideal, each low higher than the last
CONFIRMATION
A controlled retest of the line after the break

Three lines make the triangle

The pattern looks like a right triangle lying on its side. Hover a card to light it up on the chart.

1The horizontal

A flat line joining two or more almost equal highs. It acts as resistance: each rally stalls at the same price.

THE CEILING

2The vertical

A line dropped from the horizontal down to the lowest point beneath it. It marks where the pattern starts.

THE STARTING POINT

3The hypotenuse

The rising line that joins the ascending lows. Each bounce under the ceiling starts from a higher low than the one before.

Two rules decide if it counts

Our scanners only flag the pattern when both are met.

Ascending bounces

At least two, ideally three, bounces below the horizontal, each starting from a higher low.

Slow down, fast up

Declines from the ceiling to each low should take longer than the rallies back up to it. Buyers are stronger than sellers.

04 · SIGNAL & RISK

From the signal to the trade plan

Every Yard Charts alert draws these levels for you, so you know the entry and where the setup fails before you act.

STEP 1 BUY

Close above the horizontal

A buy signal fires when a candle closes above the horizontal line after at least two bounces. An intraday poke above it is not enough.

STEP 2 STOP

Stop below the last bounce low

Set the sell stop just below the most recent bounce low before the breakout. If price falls back there, the pattern has failed.

STEP 3 CONFIRM

Wait for a controlled retest

The strongest setups break out, then come back calmly to the old ceiling and hold it as a new floor before moving on.

Reading the risk/reward. The distance from buy to stop is your risk. Our alerts project a reward zone at three times that risk, so you see the potential before you enter.
05 · WHY IT WORKS

Sellers stay put. Buyers keep stepping up.

A fixed supplySellers wait at the same price, so every rally stalls at the ceiling.
Rising demandBuyers step in at higher prices each time, lifting every low.
Lopsided paceSlow drops and quick rallies show buyers are the more eager side.
Supply absorbedWhen the sellers at the ceiling run out, price closes above it.

Historical performance

Historical cases show meaningful upside when confirmation and risk management are respected: wait for the close, keep the stop where the pattern fails.

Its bearish twin: Top Right Triangle

The same shape upside down. Descending bounces above a flat floor, then a close below it triggers the sell.
